    Abstract

    EFFECTIVITY AND EFFICIENCY OF INSTALLATION WATER PROCESSING (IPA) IN THE SUPPLYING STANDARD WATER OF DRINKING WATER PDAM SURAKARTA BASED ON PHYSICAL CHEMICHAL AND BIOLOGY PARAMETERS (Case Bengawan Solo River Utilization as Standard Water Trough IPA Jurug and IPA Jebres) HESTIK ASTUTI Departement Biology of Mathematics and Science Faculty Sebelas Maret University Surakarta ABSTRACT Consumtion of clean water and drinking water increasingly in more days. While the standard water sources cannot meet the requirement of clean water and drinking water to answer the demand of clean water and drinking water. One of the solution is to use the water from Bengawan Solo river to be the alternative because of it continous availability. Standard water treatment done in IPA Jurug and IPA Jebres. It is necessary to make a research about the comparation the quality of standard water from IPA Jurug and IPA Jebres. The purpose of this research is to determine the water quality of the water from Bengawan Solo before and after processing in IPA Jurug and IPA Jebres, to determine the efficiency and effectivity of treatment for standard water of drinking water in IPA Jurug and IPA Jebres. This case used a sample inlet and outlet Jurug IPA and IPA Jebres. Sampling was carried out four times in two months. Samples were analyzed based on the parameters of physics, chemistry, and biology. Water processing results in IPA Jurug and IPA Jebres compared with Permenkes RI 492 in 2010. The decline in values of some parameters can be used to determine the effectivity and efficiency of each IPA. IPA efficiency is evaluated by comparing the quality of each parameter of physics, chemistry, and biology before processing and after processing. The results show that water of IPA Jurug and IPA Jebres processing are under standard quality Permenkes RI 492 in 2010, except biology parameter. Efficiency IPA Jurug advanced more than IPA Jebres.
