    Abstract

Civil Engineering Departement, Engineering Faculty of Sebelas Maret University. Wonogiri Tirtomoyo watershed is one of the supporters of the reservoir watershed Gadjah Mungkur. Changes in land use and the amount of rainfall causes the stability of the soil is disturbed. Certain soil characteristics and high specific rain cause the soil could potentially have a greater burden on the topsoil layer. This will potentially cause a landslide on the slopes. Avalanche of material in the form of land partly carried away by the rain which eventually led to silting of the reservoir Gadjah Mungkur. Therefore, prevention efforts need to first know the characteristic landslide that occurred. This study aims to determine the effect of rain return periode in the stability of the slope at different inclination. Rain return periode is defined as a hypothetical in which is a debit or rain with a certain magnitude will be equaled or exceeded once in that time period. The research location is located in the village of Damon, Hargorejo, Wonogiri. From the location of the soil samples were taken to determine the type of soil and the soil parameter values. Soil samples showed that the type of soil in the form of silt with high plasticity. Slope stability is modeled with a slope variation of 30 °, 35°, 45 °, 50°, 60 ° and 65° using the program Plaxis 2D . SCS CN method is used to turn the rain into the load by calculating the slope of the infiltration that occurs corresponding land cover. Infiltration of rain water will cause the soil will be saturated with a certain thickness. Rainfall data used between 2004 to 2014 by analyzing the infiltration of rain return period. Slope stability analysis result (Deformation) in the 2D models with program Plaxis 8.2 by reviewing the conditions of the soil properties test of soil mechanics and high-intensity rainfall that occurred over a period of 2 to 1000 annual does not affect the value of slope safety factor in the village of Damon, Hargorejo, Wonogiri.
