    Abstract

    The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between growth and value investment, business units and employment in the industrial sector in Surakarta from 2011 to 2013. The method used in this study were interviews, studipustaka and observation. Interviews conducted by the author in conducting research is free interview in which the author does not use the interview guide has been arranged in a systematic, complete and structured. Yan book study author by studying books, documents or other data sources. Observations by the author by means of direct observation or indirectly to the parties concerned. Based on the results of research investment value growth, business units and employment in the industrial sector in the city of Surakarta from 2011 to 2013 showed significant growth. Investment and business units have a relationship that is interrelated in terms of employment in the industrial sector in Surakarta. The author gives advice to the Department of Industry and Trade Surakarta to provide non-formal training to the industry so that the resulting products quality and providing equipment assistance to support his efforts. In addition to providing training to businesses also provide training to the workforce so that workers can better compete and absorbed more leverage.
