    Abstract

Contributions of Legs Length, leg muscles strength, Arm Span and Maximum Oxygen Volume Performance towards 100 meter front crawl swimming style (Correlation Study of Male Students’ Achievement Coaching at Swimming in UNS & UTP Surakarta). This study aims to determine the relationship both single and double between length legs variable, leg muscles strength, arm span and maximum volume of oxygen to the achievement of 100-meter front crawl swimming style and how large the contribution of each variable. This research used a descriptive method with correlation analysis. This study’s population is fostering student achievement and swimming of JPOK FKIP UNS & UTP Surakarta totaling 33 people. The variables of this study consist of four independent variables. They are legs length, leg muscles strength, arm span and maximal oxygen volume. And the dependent variable is the achievement of 100 meter front crawl swimming style. All data required in this study were obtained through tests and measurements of each variable. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis by testing the normality, linearity and testing the hypothesis that is a correlation analysis of each predictor, partial correlation analysis and regression analysis. The results show that of each variable that are legs length, leg muscles strength, arm span and maximal oxygen volume, have a significant relationship both single and double with achievement of 100 meters front crawl swimming style. The relative contributions of each independent variable on the dependent variable are as follows: legs length of 15.809%, leg muscles strength at 21.795%, arm span of 5.441% and a maximum oxygen volume amounted to 3.361%. While the effective contributions of each independent variable on the dependent variable are as follows: 5.211% of leg length, leg muscle strength at 7.184%, 1.179% of span arms and maximal oxygen volume amounted to 1.108%. The conclusions obtained from this study of four variables legs length, leg muscles strength, arm span and maximal oxygen volume has total relative contribution 46,406% and the total effective contribution is 15.297%.
