    Abstract

    This study aims to determine the child's process, supporting and resistor of empowerment of marginal groups with environment-based education in Gajahwong School that is conducted by TAABAH. The research using AGIL’s theory: adaptation goal attainment, integration, dan latency proposed by Talcott Parsons. The research a qualitative descriptive with case study research strategy. The data were taken by technique of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling. Validity of data by using triangulation sources, while data analysis an interactive model. The result of the study can be conclusion that TAABAH in the process of empowering children use several stages of empowerment: Establish the location of activities. Socializing activities through regular community forum. Conducting awareness with personal and group approach. Organizing community and academia. Implementation, providing elementary education, kindergarten education,religion education and free guiding study. Advocating government and business. Politicization by recuiting academicians, giving pressure by using mass media and real action. Daily, weekly, monthly evaluation. In the process of empowerment of children there are internal and external support that is spiritual or material support from the community and businesses from Ledhok Timoho. Internal structural problems that cause cultural circle activities are not going well. External resistor is related to structural problems affecting the legality school empowerment of lack of funds. The process of empowerment of children in AGIL theory: Adaptation, TAABAH create free schools with the goal of empowerment of early childhood, garbage as APE media. Goal Attainment, TAABAH have the overriding goal of breaking the cycle of poverty in Ledhok Timoho community by providing access and assets which provide free education (Gajahwong School). Integration, TAABAH establishes communication to unite the community, staff, volunteers, parents, donation of Gajahwong School. Latensy, TAABAH maintaining and motivation their parents through parenting activities while the kommunity, staff, Volunteer Gajahwong School hold a debriefing and evaluation.
