    Abstract

    Tax is one of State’s primary income sources, because it plays a very considerable role, particularly in manifesting an area’s independency. One of local tax components is advertisement tax. Advertisement tax is one of fund sources very important in local income for Karanganyar Regency. This study aimed to analyze the growth of targeted and realized advertisement tax revenues and its contribution to Local Original Income in Karanganyar Regency for the period of 2009-2013. The data employed in this research consisted of primary and secondary ones. The result of research was expected to give benefit and input to local government of Karanganyar Regency, particularly Local Financial Management Office. The method employed was qualitative one. The result obtained showed that the highest percentage growth of advertisement tax revenue was 48.64% in 2012 and the lowest one was 10.25% in 2009. Its contribution belonged to very poor criterion.
