    Abstract

    M. Fajar Hamida, R0211030, 2015. The Relationship between Repetitive Motions with Upper Muscoskeletal Extremity Disorderon Cigarette Rolling Workers at PT. Djitoe Indonesian Tobacco, Diploma 4 Occupational Health and Safety Medical Faculty , SebelasMaret University, Surakarta. Background :The Impact of manual operation can increase the occurrence of Muscoskeletal Disorder. There are four factors that can increase the occurrence of Muscoskeletal Disorder, and Repetitive Motion is one of them. Just like cigarette rolling workers at PT. Djitoe Indonesian Tobacco, the workers experience repetitive motion that would be a significant factor of Muscoskeletal Disorder. The objective of this research is to find the relationship between Repetitive Motion and Upper Muscoskeletal Extremity Disorder. Method :This kind of research is observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used in this research is simple random sampling and the amount of the sample is determined by proportion different test formula. The amount of the sample obtained from the formula is 49 at minimum. Data processing and analysis was done using computer program SPSS version 18 with correlation statistic test Pearson for inter-variable analysis. Result :Valuable relation was found with value p = 0,010 (p ≤ 0,010) which means there is a significant relationship between Repetitive Motion and Upper Muscoskeletal Extremity Disorder. The inter-variable relationship strength value is 0.362 which implies that the correlation is weak. For the determinant coefficient, it has the value of 13,1 %. The value shows that repetitive motion only give 13.1% contribution to Upper Muscoskeletal Extremity Disorderand the other 86,9% is affected by other factors. Conclusion :Significant relation was found between Repetitive Motion and Upper Muscoskeletal Extremity Disorderon cigarette rolling worker at PT. Djitoe Indonesian Tobacco. Keywords : Repetitive Motion, Muscoloskeletal Disorders.
