    Abstract

    Lihar Raudina Izzati. THE APPLICATION OF LEARNING CYCLE 7E LEARNING MODEL WITH SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACTIVITY AND MATHEMATICS RESULTS OF XI MIA 3 CLASS 2nd SEMESTER SMA NEGERI 5 SURAKARTA ACADEMIC YEAR 2014/2015. Skripsi, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta. January 2015. This classroom action research has purpose to describe the implementation of Learning Cyle 7E learning model with scientific approach to XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta and to know improvement of activity learning and students’ mathematics result of XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta through the application of Learning Cycle 7E learning model with scientific approach. Data in this research are implementation of learning activity, students’ learning activity and students’ mathematics result. Students’ learning activity observed consist of four aspect, such as visual activities, oral activities, writing activities and mental activities. Implementation of learning activity and students’ learning activity got from the result of observation during study process. Meanwhile, students’ mathematics result data got from the final test. The success indicator of students’ learning activity in this observation is get 75% of total students. The success indicator of students’ mathematics result is about 75% of total students get same or upper than 2,67 from scale 4 for the result of test. Conclution of this observation is the implementation with Learning Cyle 7E learning model with scientific approach can improve students’ activity dan students’ mathematics result are as follows, teacher explain the study purpose, said give gift to student who active in study, do apreception, give direction to student to put their finger or hand up to answer the questions, give motivation. Core activity, teacher devide students to several groups, tell students the time for discussion and presentation, give students paper work (LKS) to each groups, ask the students to observe paper work, make question from what they had observe, finish paper work, teacher monitor the discussion, ask delegation of groups to say result of their discussion, another groups can ask, having a notion, give comment. Teather may ask, give comments and advice to result of their discussion. Teacher gives reinforcement to right concept and straighten wrong concept. Teacher gives the test. Epilog activity, teather conclude what they had study and say what will they learn in next meeting. From observation before cycle result, study activity got 57,58% after apply Learning Cyle 7E learning model with scientific approach at first cycle became 68,19%, second cycle became 80,81%. Oral activity before cycle 58,59%, increase to 68,19% at first cycle, increase to 78,29% at second cycle. Writing activity before cycle 60,61%, increase to 71,22% at first cycle, increase to 78,8% at second cycle. Mental activity before cycle 43,43%, increase to 64,15% at first cycle, increase to 74,25% at second cycle. And final test result of students’ matematis result, before cycle 42,42%, increase to 66,67% at first cycle, increase to 78,79% at second cycle.
