    Abstract

    Kartiko Ari Wicaksono. 2015. The effectiveness of Dispute Settlement in Industrial Relationship through mediation in Social, Labor and Transmigration Service of Karanganyar Regency. Faculty of Law of Surakarta Sebelas Maret University. This research aimed to find out the implementation of dispute settlement in industrial relationship through mediation, in addition it also aimed to find out the mediation implementation process the mediator undertook in resolving the dispute of industrial relationship and to find out the obstacles occurring in the mediation implementation process in Social, Labor and Transmigration Service of Karanganyar Regency. This research employed an empirical law research that was descriptive in nature. The type and data source used primary data was obtained from interview by mediator, and secondary data was obtained from legislation document study, and written data was obtained from research location and other law material. In analyzing the data obtained, deductive syllogism method was used by thinking about basic principles, and then the writer presented the object to be studied in order to draw a conclusion on the specific facts. The discussion of research described the mediation implementation process conducted by mediator, effectiveness level of industrial relationship dispute settlement implementation, and the obstacles found in the implementation of mediation. The conclusions of research were as follows: the process of industrial relationship dispute settlement implementation conducted by mediator had run corresponding to the enacted rule; the effectiveness of mediation implementation was on medium level; and there were some obstacles in implementing mediation.
