    Abstract

    Objective: This study aimed to find out the relationship of learning independency and emotional intelligence to learning achievement of clinical practice basic competency Course in the first semester students in Midwifery Undergraduate Study Program of Semarang Asih Husada Health Academy, to find out the relationship of learning independency to learning achievement of clinical practice basic competency Course in the first semester students in Midwifery Undergraduate Study Program of Semarang Asih Husada Health Academy, and to find out the relationship of emotional intelligence to learning achievement of clinical practice basic competency Course in the first semester students in Midwifery Undergraduate Study Program of Semarang Asih Husada Health Academy. Research Type: The type of study employed was an analytical observational research with cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with total sampling, obtaining 33 first semester students of Midwifery Undergraduate program of Semarang Asih Husada Health Midwifery Academy as the respondents. Technique of analyzing data used was multiple regression correlational technique at significance level of 0.05. Result: There was a relationship between learning independency and learning achievement of 0.618, and there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and learning independency of 0.719. Meanwhile, the result of analysis using multiple regression correlation showed that learning independency and emotional intelligence affected simultaneously the learning achievement of 0.476. Conclusion: 1) There was a positive significant relationship between learning independency and learning achievement, 2) there was a positive significant relationship between emotional intelligence and learning achievement, and 3) there was a positive significant relationship of learning independency and emotional intelligence to learning achievement.
