    Abstract

    This research uses quantitative approach method case study of embedded singular. The data are collected from informants, events and activities, document and archives, and also literary study. Sample using purposive sampling technique. Data collection using direct observation, interviews, and documentation. To get the validity of the data uses data triangulation and method. The technique of analyzing data uses interactive analysis model. Based on the research, it can be concluded that according the description of vision and mission of FKIP of UNS has strong and intelligent character, the student has not FKIP UNS as a whole in carrying out the vision and mission as,: (1) found the students that were not obey the uniform role yet which is prescribed in the Monday and Tuesday adhere it is as symbol which shows students simplicity that want be implement to the students strong character. Even though the punishment given just a admonition but when the students do not apply yet, it means the students do not have the characters of teacher ship yet which should be a basic for teacher candidate. (2) As found the students who are not honest in carraying out examinations to measure cognitive aspect, with its phenomena the, the instruction in the description of character does not apply yet as the students besides the students could not apply the hard work aspect as a key to be success. But when the growth of attitude further enhanced so, its problem can be minimized. (3) The students are not interest to the social activity and organization in campus. From its phenomena can be concluded that the students were explore the potential that can not be present what has been being in the students character to be a candidate of teacher who has strong and intelegent character in spite of FKIP has provided facilities such as the existence of rece and MTQ, Mawapres University level, which was won by students FKIP so that can be used as motivation for other students to be able to develop the potential that exists within.
