    Abstract

    Ani Rediyati, Improving the motivation of science study through teaching using Science Education Quality Improvement Project Media(SEQIP) Media (SEQIP) in the sixth grade student of SD Negeri Tegalmulyo No. 157substrict Banjarsari Surakarta City. The purpose of this thesis is: 1) To prove that teaching using SEQIP media can improve the motivation of science study in the sixth grade student of SD NegeriTegalmulyo No. 157; 27 to describe the obstades of the science teaching process in the sixth grade of SD Negeri Tegalmulyo No. 157. The instruments that are used in this research are observation sheet, questionnare and documentation. The instruments that consist of observation sheet and questionnare are used to collect the data about the motivation of science study. Meanwhile, documentation is used to know the motivation of science study in the sixth grade student of SD Negeri Tegalmulyo No. 157. The stepsin the research consist of3 cycles. Every cycle consists of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. This teaching process research is to know the student study motivationaspect, the way of problem solving and the student activenessin teaching process. The evaluatin of teaching result is got by comparing the student test score before action and every cycle. The conclusion from thisresearch result shows: 1) The process of science teaching using SEQIP media can improve motivation. This case can be seen from the student behaviour in the class namely the student are more enthusiastic in following the research, the students are more active in doing the reseach, the students are more enthusiastic in working through group, the students are more brave in reporting the result that have been got in the front of class. Beside that, the improvement can be seen through questionnaire score in the first cycle namely 74,65. It shows the significance improvement in the third cycle namely 80,50; 2) In science teachingwith SEQIP media, there are many obstacles that are found in the class namely the limited media, the time is used too lonng, it needs special room/large room to do the research. If the media is broken so it will be difficult to find the substitution.
