    Abstract

    ABSTRACT Drying is one way to get long life of cereals of agricultural product storage. Nowadays, pop out the dryer with mechanized drying or artificial drying to handle the barrier in manually drying with sunlight. In this research, the experiment used the corn, with specification Pioneer 11, also used the conventional and fluidized bed methods. The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of temperature toward drying rate on conventional and fluidized bed methods. The temperature variation were used in this research are 50 o C, 55 o C, 60 o C, 70o C. As the result from this research showed that the best time to reach 12 % wb from ± 21 %wb water content is 57,4 minutes. So, the best drying rate also reach on fluidized bed method with temperature 70o C
