    Abstract

    ABSTRACT Levia Imroatul Azizah, 2015. .An evaluation on road hardening, maintenance and improvement using component analysis method with expense budget plan in Gabugan - Sumberlawang Tanon Sragen Road STA 0+000 – 3+000. Final Project, Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program, Engineering Faculty of Surakarta Sebelas Maret University. Gabugan - Sumberlawang Tanon Sragen roads are included in the collector road class of III C with flexible pavement types and has a width of 5 m. This road is in road that is in Sragen regency with kind vehicles that dominates comprise motorcycles, cars, buses and trucks. In order that road mentioned to get can function with good, to need step evaluation and maintenance manner periodic with the support of valid data. The observation was conducted on Gabugan - Sumberlawang Tanon Sragen Road in 3 km length aiming to conduct an evaluation on road condition using Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method by dividing the road into several segments with 50 m interval. Then, every segment of road was observed (visually) and measured to identify the types of damage existing and assessed corresponding to PCI method. From the result of observation obtained value 57,97 % of PCI classified poor, the types of damage included alligator cracking, bleeding, weathering or ravelling, longitudinal and transverse cracking and potholes. These damages only occurred in some segments and the repair was conducted based on the types of damage existing. It included fracture filling, sand spreading and patching. Corresponding to the estimation of traffic density volume, the value of CBR 90% is 5 % and soil bearing capacity is 4,7, layer thickness redesigning with 6 cm was conducted according to the planned age 10 years. The hardening material used was LASTON Ms. 744. Then, from entire work, the total cost needed in the attempt of repairing and improving quality in Gabugan - Sumberlawang Tanon Sragen Road STA 0+000 – 3+000 in 2015 was IDR 4.163.840.849,49 plan in 2 month.
