    Abstract

    The purpose of this research is to arrange a Physics Misconception Diagnostic Instrument Test at eleventh grade, Senior High School, odd semester, on the material : Kinematics with Vector Analysis. Research to arrange a Physics Misconception Diagnostic Instrument Test at eleventh grade, Senior High School, on the material Kinematics with Vector Analysis, using development model 4D which is contains of 4 main steps, they are : (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop, and (4) Disseminate. But this research just until third’s step because instrument test not to publicationed This research also involves two physicists and eleventh grade students in Senior High School 4, Surakarta. Based on the result of data analysis and explanation may concluded that the items test of diagnostic were arranged suits on the basic competencies were determined. On the basic competencies is to describe the characteristic of kinetic through vector analysis, the amount of arranged test is 20 items. Arranged diagnostic test be able to classify the level of student’s understanding. The level of student’s understanding are divided into 2 thing, there are understanding, misconception, and unknown to concept. The level of students’ understanding are revealed by knowing material concept (Kinematics with Vector Analysis). Students who have misconception in position concept of particle on a plane by 18%, on the velocity concept by 35%, on the acceleration by 34%, on the parabola kinetic concept by 38%, while, students who understand circular motion by 46%. Based on percentage of understanding the concept can be said that instrument test meets the test criteria properly, they are valid, relevant, specific, representative, balance, sensitive, fair and efficient.
