    Abstract

    Police are social groups that are part of the community. Police presence very close relation to the public, because the public has the most impact and is a key target in providing services to the public. One form of police service provided to the community is to provide information. Radio is known that the advantages of flexible, cheaper and more personalized. Another advantage of radio is broadcasting a wide range of power that can be enjoyed in outlying regions even. This study aimed to describe the reasons, materials, response, effect, and the obstacles encountered in the Utilization of Radio (Unisi Radio) by the Yogyakarta Police Public Relations as a means of interaction between the Police and the Community. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative. This research is the subject of Yogyakarta Police Public Relations, radio broadcaster, and society. The object of research is the utilization of radio (Radio Unisi) by the Yogyakarta Police Public Relations as a means of interaction between the Police and the Community. The data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observation, and literature. The sample is purposive sampling data sources. The validity of the data in this study using triangulation of data analysis using interactive analysis.
