    Abstract

    Computational simulation using MCNP5 software has been perfomed in order to calculate the maximum absorbed dose rate of Co-60 teletherapy. An acrilyc phantom with a dimention of 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm and a γ Argon gas filled detector have been modeled. The simulation results show that the absorbed dose rate in 2011 and 2013 are (2.367±0.007) Gy/min and (1.316±0.007) Gy/min, respectively. In contrast, the measurement performed by FKTN are 1.8988 Gy/min and 1.6676 Gy/min, respectively. These differences might be due to unperfection of the geometry phantom and the modele of the γ source. The prediction of maximum absorbed dose rate Co-60 teletherapy in 2014 and 2015 are (0,968±0,008) Gy/min and (0,646±0,009) Gy/min, respectively.
