    Abstract

Kata kunci: kadar LDL kolesterol – stroke non hemoragik ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to find out wheither there is relationship between LDL cholesterol rate and incidence of stroke. We hold this research at neurology department, Dr. Moewardi hospital in Surakarta from Mei 17th-June 19th, 2010. This research is analitical study with cross sectional approach. From 108 people of population, we took only 60 people for our samples with purposive random sampling technic. Data was gathered with medical record. It was gathered reported as table form and then analyzed with Chi Square test in significancy level α = 0,05. From the data we have gathered, we got stroke non hemoragik people with LDL cholesterol rate ≥ 130 mg/dL is 14 people (46,7%), and stroke non hemoragik people with LDL cholesterol rate < 130 mg/dL is 16 person only (53,3%) from 30 people with high rate of LDL cholesterol. It seems that in our research stroke non hemoragic people with LDL cholesterol rate ≥ 130 mg/dL have more risk than with LDL cholesterol rate < 130 mg/dL, but from data analyzed results on value of X2 = 0,271 and OR = 1,312; so suggested that statistically there is no relationship between LDL cholesterol rate and incidence of stroke. Key words: LDL cholesterol rate – incidence of stroke non hemoragic
