    Abstract

    Abstract Sediment transport represents a nature phenomenon, which often becomes problems, whereas studies about sediment transport still a few, especially on elementary sediment transport or bedload movement. Sediment is strongly influenced by critical condition of grain. This research has been conducted using experimental laboratory method and sediment transport appliance (apparatus flume) to determine the fac-tors influencing critical condition in each fraction, one of them is water debit. Critical debit for the diameter (D) of 2.36 mm; 1.18 mm; 0.85 mm; 0.30 mm; and 0.15 mm are 2.9938.10-4m3/s (ic = 2.1 %); 2.478 .10-4 m3/s (ic = 0.49%); 1.498 .10-4 m3/s (ic = 0.26 %); 1.2462 .10-4 m3/s (ic = 1.48 %); 4.0837 .10-5 m3/s, respectively. The debits used are 3.13 .10-4m3/s; 3.79 .10-4m3/s; 4.43 .10-4m3/s; 5.79.10-4m3/s; 5 94.10-4m3/s and yield the transportation of sediment (qb)by 1.166 x 10-5 kg/s.m; 1.285 x 10-5 kg/s.m; 1.320 x 10-5 kg/s.m; 1.388 x 10-5 kg/s.m; 1.457 x 10-5 kg/s.m, respectively. The increase of debit influences the rise of sediment transport.. Keywords: bedload, debit. sediment transport.
