    Abstract

PENINGKATAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MELALUI PENERAPAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM SOLVING PADA PELAJARAN KELISTRIKAN OTOMOTIF KELAS XI SMK NEGERI 5 SURAKARTA. Skripsi, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta. Juli 2013. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI TO B dalam pembelajaran teori mata pelajaran kelistrikan otomotif di SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2012/ 2013. Data dalam penelitian adalah data keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa. Sedangkan sumber data yang digunakan adalah peristiwa dan dokumen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan empat cara yaitu wawancara, observasi, tes dan angket. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Penelitian merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan yang dilakukan di dunia pendidikan yakni Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan satu pertemuan kegiatan prasiklus. PTK dilakukan melalui dua siklus, setiap siklus dua kali pertemuan dengan alokasi waktu masing-masing pertemuan 2 x 45 menit. Menurut lembar pengamatan pada kegiatan prasiklus, diperoleh persentase keaktifan siswa bertanya 11,11%, berpendapat 52,78%, menyimak 27,78%, membaca 30,56%, menulis 11,11% dan berdiskusi 30,56%. Persentase tertinggi terdapat pada indikator berpendapat sebesar 52,78%, sedangkan pada indikator yang lain perlu adanya peningkatan. Pada siklus I diperoleh persentase keaktifan siswa bertanya 2,78%, berpendapat 27,78%, menyimak 38,89%, membaca 38,89%, menulis 13,89%, dan berdiskusi 16,67%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I indikator ketercapaian belum tercapai kecuali berpendapat, sehingga bisa dikatakan keaktifan siswa masih perlu ditingkatkan. Pada siklus II diperoleh persentase keaktifan siswa bertanya 11,11%, berpendapat 44,44%, menyimak 80,56%, membaca 61,11%, menulis 2,78%, dan berdiskusi 19,44%. Hasil belajar siswa, pada kegiatan prasiklus didapati nilai rata-rata kelas 74, kegiatan siklus I rata-rata kelas 77, dan pada siklus II rata-rata kelas 79. Selain itu jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM yakni ≥75, mengalami peningkatan dari kegiatan prasiklus sampai siklus II. Pada kegiatan prasiklus siswa yang mencapai KKM sebanyak 55% (20 siswa). Pada siklus I siswa yang mencapai KKM sebanyak 61% (22 siswa). Pada siklus II siswa yang mencapai KKM sebanyak 78% (28 siswa). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa penerapan Metode Pembelajaran Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa kelas XI TO B dalam pembelajaran teori, pelajaran kelistrikan otomotif di SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2012/ 2013. Selain itu penerapan metode pembelajaran Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI TO B dalam pembelajaran teori pelajaran kelistrikan otomotif di SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2012/ 2013. The purpose of this research improves activeness and learning outcomes of student XI TO B class on learning theory at automotive electrical lesson SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta for academic year 2012/ 2013. This data the research were activeness and learning outcomes of student. While the sources of data were events and document. The Collecting of the data by using four ways, there was interview, observation, test, and questionaire. The observation sheet use six indicators of activeness : asking, argue, listening, reading, writing, and discussion. The data of the research was analyzed with descriptive analyse techniques. The research includes action research in education, namely classroom action research (PTK). This research was by one meeting activities before the cycle. PTK was carried out with two cycle’s, each cycle two meeting’s with one test in last of second meeting. According to the observation sheet on activities before the cycle were obtained the precentage student activeness asking was 11,12%, argue was 52,78%, listening was 27,78%, reading was 30,56%, writing was 11,11% and discussion was 30,56%. The highest precentage was argues that is 52,78%, while on the other indicators need to increase. Cycle I were obtained student activeness asking was 2,78%, argue was 27,78%, listening was 38,89%, reading was 38,89%, writing was 13,89%, and discussion was 16,67%. It indicates that in Cycle I achievement indicators was not echieved excepted argue, that was spoken student activeness still need to improvement. Cycle II were obtained student activeness asking was 11,11%, argue was 44,44 %, listening was 80,56%, reading was 61,11%, reading was 2,78%, and discussion was 19,44%. Learning outcomes of students on activities before the cycle was found average value of class 74, on activities Cycle I was found average value 77, on activities Cycle II was found average value 79. Beside that, total the student who achieved KKM (graduate limit) that was ≥ 75, have improvement from activities before cycle to Cycle II. In activities before cycle total the student who achieve KKM was 55% (20 students). In Cycle I total the student who achieve KKM was 61% (22 students). In Cycle II total the student who achieve KKM was 78% (28 students). Based on the result, result of research was concluded that application of Problem Solving Learning Method improved activeness of student XI TO B class on learning theory at automotive electrical lesson SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta for academic year 2012/ 2013. Beside that application of Problem Solving Learning Method improved learning outcome of student XI TO B class on learning theory at automotive electrical lesson SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta for academic year 2012/ 2013.
