    Abstract

    This study aimed (1) to explain Social Science learning plan in the class with variability; (2) to explain the implementation of Social Science learning plan in the class with variability; (3) to explain the process of student cultural interrelation in Social Science learning and in school environment with variability; (4) to explain the evaluation of social science learning in the class with variability; (5) to analyze the constraints the teacher and the students encountered in the class with variability in school environment. This study was taken place in SMP Negeri 2 Banjar Agung using a descriptive qualitative research with a single embedded case study research strategy. The data source consisted of informant (teacher of social science and students), place and event (social science activity in the class), document and archive (syllabus, learning implementation plan, prota (annual program), prosem (semester program)). Techniques of collecting data used were in-depth interview, direct observation, document and focus group discussion (FGD). The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data validation was carried out using data triangulation, method triangulation, and theory triangulation. Meanwhile the data analysis was done using an interactive analysis encompassing data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. The result of research showed that (1) in developing learning plan, the teacher developed a learning set by copying it from MGMP team, (2) the implementation of social science learning in the class with variability has been integrated but the teacher did not utilize it by establishing multicultural class, (3) the form of student cultural interrelation in social science learning in the classroom included verbal communication (Indonesian language), verbal message (words, intonation), non verbal communication during learning process in the form of students‟ gesture indicating enthusiasm and body language used by the teacher to ask for material clarity. Meanwhile, the interrelation of students in school environment included extracurricular activity; (4) evaluation was conducted by the teacher in the classroom using cognitive aspect (daily quiz, midterm and end-of-semester test), affective aspect obtained by the teacher during the learning, and psychomotor aspect in the form of portfolio assessment, and (5) the constraints the teacher encountered in the classroom with variability was that the teacher understood less about the characteristics of students, so that the students were less motivated. Meanwhile the constraints the students encountered in school environment was students‟ stereotype and ethnocentrism perspective, the Lampung students still relied on Piil Pesenggiri or self-esteem philosophy so that they were not willing to join other ethnics. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk (1) memaparkan perencanaan pembelajaran IPS dikelas yang memiliki keanekaragaman; (2) menjelaskan pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS dikelas yang memiliki keanekaragaman; (3) menjelaskan proses interrelasi budaya peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS dan interrelasi budaya peserta didik dilingkungan sekolah yang memiliki keanekaragaman; (4) menjelaskan evaluasi pembelajaran IPS dikelas yang memiliki keanekaragaman; (5) menganalisis kendala yang dihadapi guru dikelas yang memiliki keanekaragaman dan kendala yang dihadapi peserta didik dilingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Banjar Agung menggunakan bentuk penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan strategi penelitian studi kasus tunggal terpancang. Sumber data terdiri atas informan (guru IPS dan peserta didik), tempat dan peristiwa (aktivitas pembelajaran IPS dikelas), dokumen dan arsip (silabus, RPP, prota, prosem). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dokumen dan focus group discussion (FGD). Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi data, triangulasi metode, dan triangulasi teori. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif yaitu reduksi data, sajian data dan penarikan simpulan/ verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) dalam menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran, guru membuat perangkat pembelajaran dengan mengkopi dari tim MGMP (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS di kelas yang memiliki keanekaragaman sudah terpadu tetapi guru tidak memanfaatkan hal tersebut dengan membentuk kelas multikultural (3) bentuk interrelasi budaya peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS dikelas berupa komunikasi verbal (bahasa Indonesia), pesan verbal (kata-kata, intonasi), komunikasi non verbal selama proses pembelajaran berupa gesture peserta didik menunjukkan keantusiasan dan body language digunakan guru untuk menanyakan kejelaskan materi. Sedangkan interrelasi peserta didik di lingkungan sekolah melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler (4) evaluasi dilakukan guru di kelas melalui aspek kognitif berupa tes ulangan harian, midtern dan ulangan akhir semester, aspek afektif didapat guru ketika pembelajaran berlangsung, dan aspek psikomotorik berupa penilian fortopolio (5) kendala yang dihadapi guru dikelas yang memiliki keanekaragaman adalah guru kurang paham karakteristik peserta didik, sehingga peserta didik kurang termotivasi. Sedangkan kendala yang dihadapi peserta didik dilingkungan sekolah adalah adanya pandangan stereotip dan etnosintrisme peserta didik, peserta didik Lampung cenderung masih tergantung pada budaya falsafah Piil Pesenggiri atau harga diri sehingga tidak mau membaur dengan suku lain. commit to user Kata kunci: Interrelasi budaya, Pembelajaran IPS, SMP Negeri 2 Banjar Agung.
