    Abstract

    ABSTRACT Purpose : Knowing the influence of light glare and UV ray electrical weld of the information eye on fatigue mechanic welding in workshop unit PT. Acidatama Indo Tbk. Kemiri, Kebakkramat, Karanganyar. Methods: This study is an observational study and use cross sectional approach. Study sample amounted to 20 person total sampling or sampel jenuh. Correlation test to examine the influence between the intensity of illumination with eye fatigue using Pearson Product Moment correlation test. Results: The mechanic welding unit workshop eyestrain and as many as 7 person (64 %) who did not experience eye fatigue by 4 person (36 %). Meanwhile, a not mechanic welding unit workshop eyestrain and as many as 5 person (56 %) who did not experience eyestrain as much as 4 person (44 %). Statistical test with Pearson Product Moment correlation test is influence light glare to eye fatigue obtained p = 0.001. And influence uv ray to eye fatigue obtained p = 0.031. Conclusion: There was a highly significant influence of light glare electrical weld an eye on the fatigue of mechanic welding in workshop unit PT. Indo Acidatama Tbk. Kemiri, Kebakkramat, Karanganyar with p-value = 0.001 (p <0.01) which is any increase in the intensity of light glare followed by an increase in eye fatigue or vice versa. And there was a significant of uv ray electrical weld an eye on the fatigue of mechanic welding in workshop unit PT. Indo Acidatama, Tbk. Kemiri, Kebakkramat, Karanganyar with p-value = 0.031 (p <0.05) which is any increase in the intensity of uv ray followed by an increase in eye fatigue or vice versa.
