    Abstract

    Abstract: The objective of this research is to improve the conceptual understanding on the central government system of the students in Grade IV of State Primary School 2 Waleng, Girimarto, Wonogiri in Academic Year 2012/2013. This research used the classroom action research with two cycles. The data of the research were gathered through in-depth interview, observation, documentation, and test. They were then analyzed by using the descriptive comparative statistical technique of analysis, critical technique of analysis, and the interactive technique of analysis.The research result showed that the implementation of accelerated learning model can improve the conceptual understanding of the central government system. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sistem pemerintahan tingkat pusat melalui penerapan model accelerated learning pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Waleng, Girimarto, Wonogiri tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif komparatif, analisis kritis, dan analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model accelerated learning dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sistem pemerintahan tingkat pusat.
