    Abstract

    Laboratory skill has an important role in health education. Laboratory learning has many advantages, such as: the ability to learn any kind of medical skill in safe and simple ways and to control all kinds of situation better. In addition, it is possible to teach and learn a medical skill which is seldom met and impossible to administer to the patient can be practiced repeatedly in the laboratory since the mistake in practicing can be tolerated and practiced in role play by simulating players. The objective of this research is to investigate the correlation of the learning motivation in laboratory skill and the metacognition of the students with their laboratory skill of Obstetic Care I course of the Diploma III Program in Obstetrics of STIKES ‘Aisyiyahof Surakarta. This research used the observation method with cross sectional design. The population of this research was the students of the Diploma III Program in Obstetrics of STIKES ‘Aisyiyah Surakarta. The samples of this research consisted of 91 students. The samples were taken by using simple random sampling technique. The data of this research were analyzed by using product moment correlation and multiple linear regressionwith SPSS program. The results of this research are as follows: (1) the influence learning motivation in laboratory skill of the students with their laboratory skill of Obstetic Care I course;(2) the influence metacognition of the students with their laboratory skill of Obstetric Care I course; and(3) the simultaneous influence of the learning motivation in laboratory skill and the metacognition of the students with their laboratory skill of Obstetric Care I course. Keterampilan laboratorium memegang peranan penting dalam pendidikan kesehatan. Belajar di laboratorium mempunyai banyak keuntungan, antara lain: bisa mengajarkan keterampilan medis apapun secara aman, sederhana, dan segala situasi bisa lebih terkontrol. Selain itu dilaboratorium suatu keterampilan medis yang jarang dijumpai dan tidak memungkinkan untuk dilakukan pada pasien dapat dilakukan berkali-kali karena kesalahan dapat ditolerir dan bisa diperankan oleh pasien simulasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi pembelajaran lab skill dan metakognitif terhadap keterampilan laboratorium. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada mahasiswa DIII Kebidanan STIKES ‘Aisyiyah Surakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling, jumlah sampel sebanyak 91 responden. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment dan regresi linier berganda dengan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa,(1) terdapat pengaruh motivasi pembelajaran lab skill dengan keterampilan laboratorium Askeb I. (2) Ada pengaruh metakognitif dengan keterampilan laboratorium Askeb I. (3) Motivasi pembelajaran lab skill dan metakognitif dengan keterampilan pembelajaran Askeb I berpengaruh secara bersama-sama terhadap keterampilan pembelajaran Askeb I.
