    Abstract

Terdapat interaksi antar perlakuan umur telur dan bobot telur tetas itik lokal terhadap Bobot tetas DOD (Day Old Duck). (Kata kunci: umur dan bobot telur itik, daya tetas, kualitas tetas, mortalitas dan Bobot tetas) ABSTRACT Hatching duck eggs is one of the significant efforts in a series of duck production. The ducks are getting old and unproductive should be replaced with ducks younger and healthier, as well as when farmers need more seeds ducklings to expand its business. Many of the farmers who do not obtain seeds ducks duck or DOD. This is because many breeding ducks in Indonesia is concentrated in certain areas and management tend not yet carried out a large-scale commercial basis, but only as a small scale home business so the quality of the resulting seedlings were generally low. This study aims to determine the influence of age and weight of the local duck eggs on hatching, mortality, quality of hatching and hatching weight. This study uses as many as 351 eggs a local duck egg with a male female ratio of 1:10 ± 56 weeks old breeders. Treatment given the local duck eggs stored for 4 days, 6 days and 8 days were separated according to the weight of 53-60 grams (B1), 61- 68 grams (B2) and 69-76 grams (B3). Data were analyzed by analysis of variance of a completely randomized design, followed duncan test to determine differences between treatments. The results showed that the best results obtained from eggs stored for 4 days (U1) and egg weight of 61-68 gram (B2). Mortality were obtained at 12,04%; Hatchability of 87,96%; 69,23% hatching quality and hatching weight of 39,99 grams. The longer storage of eggs will be increase mortality, but lower hatchability and hatching quality. There is no interaction between age and weight of the local duck eggs for mortality, hatchability and hatching quality. However, there was an interaction between age and weight of the heavy local duck eggs hatching DOD (Day Old Duck). (Key words: Age and weight of ducks eggs, hatchability, hatching quality, mortality and hatching weight)
