    Abstract

    the aims of this research are to study the factors that is considered by customers in buying powder milk formula for infants in swalayan market in yogyakarta city, and to study the dominant variables which considered by the powder milk formula a for infants in swalayan market in yogyakarta city, customers sample method that used in this research is judgement sampling, with distributing quisioner or interview. the researcher takes 100 sample buyer, based on the size of sample for analysis factor at least 4/5 times of total research variable. data analysis used is factors analysis method. result of factors analysis show that of 13 variable can be extraxt to become 5 factor becoming by consideration of customer in buying to buy milk balita formula, total contribution equal to 59,58%. fifth of the factor based on its preference is advertaisement factor (20,79%), service (11,42%), promotion (9,88%), product (9,34%), price (8,15%).while the most considerated variable by consumers from each package design variable for advertisement factor (factor loading 0,764) availability (factor loading 0,788) gift giving (factor loading 0,764) proce (factor loading (0,713).
