    Abstract

    indonesia is one of the largest rubber producen in the world. rubber seed is obtained as agricultural waste. this is potential feedstock for biodiesel because of its high proportion of oil. the oil is hydrolyzed to produce satured and unsatured fatty acids. unsatured fatty acids such as oleic. linoleic and linolenic acids are goog for health. besides saturated fatty acids are suitable for high quality biodiesel. batch process of rubber seed hydrolyzed was conducted on this research. in this batch process, continously separation of glycerine was done by setting on multi stage. the objection of this research was to find optimum condition on multi stages hydrolyzed to produce fatty acids. in each stage of hydrolyzed acid caatalyzed fifty-fifty ratio of oil and water and react 70 degree celcius. and the fatty acid were re hydrolyzed with fesh water like the stage before. the process stopped while it reached maximum conversion. based on this research, we concluded that for the shorter time of each stage on hydrolyzed process gives conversion of oil to fatty acids
