    Abstract

    ABSTMCT: The identification of problems at the beginning of the study shriwed that low achievement and lack of interest of students to study stenography courses Indonesian language. One ofthem is the tack oftextbooks to support studentlearning. Thus necessary to the developtmentofstenography textbooklndonesian. The researchwas conducted over two yeqrs, In the first year aims to produce shorthand textbook Indonesian was validated by test results and the iudges do limited testing. Asfor the secondyear aims to: (1) performfield test area, and (2) to Fiialize Books ISBN her. The procedure is applied a the study were (7) Literature shorthand books in several llniversities and Colleges, (2) Preparation of drafttexthool<" (3) thetrial judges, (4) limitedfieldtrials, (2)fieldtrials area, (3)finalization ofthebook to be air'ISBN books. Thefinal results showed thatthe legibility testresults on the largefield are: (1) 85% oftist subjec3 expressed the turtbook content is understandable and well understood" (2) 100% of test subjects stated an important turtbook for studen*, (3) 1000k test subject states allow textbool<s to be applied, (4) 100ok of test subjec3 expressed textbookcanhelp prospective users, (5) 90%o oftestsubjecB expreisedtextbookuse simplelanguage, and (6) 75% oftest subj ects stated textbo ok app eal looks pretty g ood.
