    Abstract

    The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) differences of learning achievement in Social Science between students who were taught using Value Clarification Technique (VCT) Model and students who were taught using Varied Speech Model, (2) differences of learning achievement in Social Science between students who have high learning motivation and students who have low learning motivation, and (3) interaction effect between VCT Model and Varied Speech Model to motivation in learning Social Science. This was experimental research with 2x2 analysis design conducted at SMP Negeri 1 and SMP Negeri 4 Surakarta in Academic Year 2013/2014. Sampling was taken using cluster random sampling. Data was taken using documentation and questionnaire methods. Data was analyzed using Two-Way ANOVA. Result showed that (1) there were differences in learning achievement in Social Science between students who were taught using Value Clarification Technique (VCT) Model and students who were taught using Varied Speech Model (F a = 24.758> F 0,05 = 4,00), (2) there were differences in learning achievement in Social Science between students who have high learning motivation and students who have low learning motivation (F b = 9.281>F 0,05 = 4,00), (3) there was interaction effect between VCT Model and Varied Speech Model to motivation in learning Social Science ( F ab =9959< F 0,05 =4,00). Keywords : Value Clarification Technique, Varied Speech, learning motivation, Social Science learning achievement Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan prestasi belajar pelajaran IPS antara siswa yang diajar melalui model VCT (Value Clarification Technique) dengan siswa yang diajar dengan model ceramah bervariasi, (2) perbedaan prestasi belajar pelajaran IPS antara siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah, (3) interaksi pengaruh antara model VCT (Value Clarification Technique) dan model ceramah bervariasi, dengan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar pelajaran IPS. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan desain rancangan analisis 2 x 2 dan dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri Se-Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2013/ 2014. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling dan cluster random sampling, sedangkan metode yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan data dari variabel-variabel yang diteliti adalah dengan metode dokumentasi, metode tes serta metode angket. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan (Anava) dengan isi sel tak sama. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa: (1) perbedaan pengaruh prestasi belajar antara siswa yang diberi pelajaran menggunakan model Value Clarification Technique dibanding dengan siswa yang diberi model ceramah bervariasi pada pelajaran IPS (F a = 24.758> F 0,05 = 4,00). (2) Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh motivasi belajar tinggi dan rendah siswa terhadap prestasi belajar pada pelajaran IPS (F b = 9.281>F 0,05 = 4,00). (3) Terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan model pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPS (F ab = 9.959 <F 0,05 = 4,00).
