    Abstract

    PT. Wahana Sun Solo (PT. Nissan) is one of the branches of the company engaged in the retail automotive in Indonesia. The company is engaged in sales, service and spare parts. Bearing in mind the company is engaged in sales, thus required record-keeping procedures and sales system that systematically. The purpose of this research is to know the sales system is applied, know the pros and cons of sales systems used and identify the extent to which the effectiveness of the use of the Dealer Management System (DMS) in recording sales made PT. Wahana Sun Solo (PT. Nissan). This research was carried out with the method of collecting data is obtained directly from the company and by way of questioning or interview directly with the competent authorities in this field. The results of the evaluation has been done, can be known to the pros and cons in system sales at PT. Wahana Sun Solo (PT. Nissan). Advantage is the existence of strict separation of functions, documents used and printed, there is a sort of numbered system of authorisation by authorities, the software used is quite effective in recording every transaction that occurs while the disadvantage was the customers who make payments through sales, not directly to the cashier, the lack of responsibility in terms of archiving documents, and frequent interruptions on software DMS. Based on these findings, the results may be submitted suggestions for often doing the reconfirmation of the customers, improve performance and employee responsibilities, one of which in terms of archiving documents, preferably a section addressing the DMS in the Headquarters often fix the network or system used.
