    Abstract

    ABSTRACT: One of the professional teacher's role is as 'initiator', the ability to know and understand the condition of students, socio-cultural environment, talent, tendency, parents and community conditions, the subjects, as well as successes and failures of students. Technically, the teacher was said as initiator if he has several features such as developing or improving the existing teaching model that is more perfect and finding new things in the teaching learning process. lnitiator teachers is constantly applying new ideas in the classroom. He is able to combine theory and practice, and describe instructional textbooks with learners real life. He is always motivating his students to criticize what is and has been learned, adjusted tothe situation of the global community. Government's efforts in developing the professionalism of teachers has not ended. One of the obstacles that has not been realized is the absence of inner organizational shifts (human and psychological environment) that supports the professional development of teachers, and the difficulty of changing the mindset of teachers.
