The community service about the bussines of traditional medicine (IbM) at UD Rachmasari, Sukoharjo has been done. This activitiy aimed to improve the quality of traditional medicine produced by UD Rachmasari. For the production of traditional medicine in Indonesia, the industries have to refer to good manufacturing practice guidelines for traditional medicine, called CPOTB (Cara Pembuatan Obat Tradisional yang Baik). CPOTB is regulated by the Ministry of Health since 1991. This regulation has been renewed by BPOM in 2005. Therefore, UD Rachmasari included traditional medicine industry (IKOT) which have 35 workers and 80 products must fulfill this requirement and their product have to be registered in the National agency for Drug and Food Control (BPOM). Nevertheles, UD. Rachmasari had not implemented the CPOTB. CPOTB includes all aspects of production such as raw material, production process, quality control, factory building, workers, management, instrument, sanitation, etc. CPOTB is also to be applied in the industries to produce standardized herbal medicines and phytomedicine. Using this regulation, the production and distribution of traditional medicine could be controlled to fulfill the requirements according CPOTB. So, the quality of several forms of traditional medicine produced by UD Rachmasari (such as capsules, liquids, lotion, herbal tea, etc) could be increased. The community service activities had been carried out succesfully. The activities included observation the problem; observation of sanitation and hygiene, raw material processing, extraction technology, pharmaceutical technology, and handover of manufacturing equipment (such as scale electric, stainless stell maserator, design of raw material dryer and black cloth, CPOTB books, milling machine, diesel engine, and capsule filler). In addition, counseling of CPOTB materials for workers and the importance of personal hygiene and environment have been pursued
