    Abstract

    The purpose of this research is to increase the ability of multiplication on arithmetic by using marbles in cooperative learning model ( Think Pair Share ) second grade class of SD Negeri 01 Dagen, Jaten, Karanganyar. The form of the research is classroom action research by using 2 Cycles. Every cycle is conducted of 4 steps, that is: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is the second grade consists of 24 students of SD Negeri 01 Dagen Jaten Karanganyar. The researcher collects the data by interviewing, observing, testing, and documenting. The technique of analyzing the data, the researcher used analysis and interactive model which has three components that is data red uction, display data, and conclusion or verification. Based on the result of this research, the researcher conclusion that the using marbles in cooperative learning model ( Think Pair Share ) can increase the second grade students ability of multiplication on arithmetic in SD Negeri 01 Dagen. Based on the experimental evidence show that the first condition before doing this technique the mean score of the students is 54,79 with the classical completeness percentage 45,83%, Cycle I the mean score of the class 67,25 with the classical completeness percentage 58,33%, Cycle II the me an score of the class significantly increase become 78 with the classical completeness percentage 83,33%. Besides, the mean score of students activity also increase continually, at the first cycle the students mean score is 1,71 sufficient category. In the second cycle increase become 2,51 good category. Thereby, the researcher recommended that by using marbles in cooperative learning model ( Think Pair Share) can increase the stude nts ability of multiplication on arithmetic of second grade students of SD Negeri 01 Dagen, Jaten, Karanganyar.
