    Abstract

    The objectives of research are: (1) to find out whether or not there is an effect of learning media use on the student accounting learning motivation in XII IPS graders of SMA Al-Islam 1 Surakarta, (2) to find out whether or not there is an effect of learning environment condition on the student accounting learning motivation in XII IPS graders of SMA Al-Islam 1 Surakarta, and (3) to find out which one with the higher effect, the learning media use or learning environment, on the student accounting learning motivation in XII IPS graders of SMA Al-Islam 1 Surakarta. The sampling technique used was quota proportional random sampling using lottery and it was obtained 42 graders of XII IPS as the sample. Techniques of collecting data used were questionnaire, documentation and observation techniques. Technique of analyzing data used was multiple regression analysis. Considering the result of research, it can be concluded that: (1) there is a positive, significant effect of learning media use variable partially on the student accounting learning motivation in XII IPS graders of SMA Al-Islam 1 Surakarta in the school year of 2010/2011. It is indicated by the probability value of 0.000 < 0.05. (2) There is a positive, significant effect of learning condition partially on the student accounting learning motivation in XII IPS graders of SMA Al-Islam 1 Surakarta in the school year of 2010/2011. It is indicated by the probability value of 0.000 < 0.05. (3) There is a positive, significant effect of learning media use and learning condition variables simultaneously on the student accounting learning motivation in XII IPS graders of SMA Al-Islam 1 Surakarta in the school year of 2010/2011. It is indicated by the probability value of 0.000 < 0.05.
