    Abstract

    One alternative to the flood early warning system to be more effective is the use of SMS (Short Message Service). SMS is a facility located in the cellular phone. In addition to the cost of SMS is cheap, people will more quickly receive a flood warning, and it is also very efficient. Theuse of non-contact sensor system for the time has been gaining popularity, the results obtained when using the sensor can be in real time, but it can minimize the error factor. In designing the SMS Alarm Monitoring Water Altitude ATMEGA8535 Microcontroller-based literature study was conducted with data collection and retrieval of information delivery technologies existing flooding and direct observation of the warning models are already available. This tool use a microcontroller system ATMEGA8535 as its main controller. It was used as input GP2D12 infrared sensors, and output via SMS sent to mobile phones through a visual basic interface and LCD. Results of the study Alarm Monitoring SMS Water Altitude ATMEGA8535 Microcontroller based monitoring system has been madenon-contact water level microcontroller-based system using sensors GP2D12 ATMEGA8535 with output sent via cell phone SMS sending form that contains the status of the normal water level elevation, alert, and danger.
