    Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE ENTHUSIASM OF STUDENT LEARN AND UTILIZATION OF MEDIA WITH LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT SOCIOLOGY IN CLASS XI TO THE STATE HIGH SCHOOL 1 NGEMPLAK BOYOLALI ACADEMIC YEAR 2010/2011. Thesis, Surakarta: Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Eleven university in March, June 2011. This study aims to determine: (1) The relationship between theenthusiasm for learning with student achievement on Sociology, (2) Rel ationship between utilization of instructional media with student achievement onSociology, (3) The relationship between students enthusiasm for learning and use o f media with student achievement on Sociology. This research takes place in SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive correlational. The study population was all students to class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali in Academic Year 2010/2011, of 109 students. Samples were taken with the technique of random sampling of 40 students. Basic data co llection technique was done by using questionnaires. Data analysis technique that is used by multiple regression statistical analysis techniques. Based on the results of research can be concluded: the first hypothesis “there is a significant positive relationship between the enthusiasm for Learning with Student Achievement onSociology in Class XI SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali Academic Year 2010/2011”, be accepted. It can be seen from analysis of data showing rx1y = 0.331 and p = 0.035 with SE = 10.978% and SR = 99.994%. The second hypothesis “there is a significant positive relationship between Learning utilization of instructional media with student achievement on Sociology in Class XI SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali Academic Year 2010/2011”, was rejected. It can be seen from the results obtained by analyzing data showing rx2y = 0.283 and p = 0.074 with SE = 0.001% and SR = 0.006%. The third hypothesis “there is a significant positive relationship with the enthusiasm of the students learning and Use of Learning Media with Learning Achievement onSociology in Class XI SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali Academic Year 2010/2011”, was rejected. It can be seen from the results of data analysis showed R = 0.331, p = 0.115 and F of 2.282.
