    Abstract

    A.D Rahmilia, G0006172, 2010. The Effect of Tea Leaves Infusa (Camellia sinensis, Linn) to Increase the death of Pig Worm (Ascaris suum,Goeze) In vitro. Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta Objective : To know the effect of tea leaves infusa (Ca mellia sinensis, Linn) toward the death of Pig Worm (Asca ris suum,Goeze) In vitro. Methods : Experimental laboratoric, with the post-test only control group design using 168 adult Asca ris suum,Goeze divided into 7 groups (NaCl 0,9% for negative control, tea leaves infusa with 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% of concentrations, also pyrantel pa moateas the positive control with Combantrineas the trademark). Observation is done by using purposive sa mplingmethod. The worm is soaked in 25 ml of the liquid and then incubated in 37 0 C. The observation is done in every an hour until ten hours. From the result, it be counted the amount of death worms in ten hours. Data analyzed with Kruska l-Wa llistest continued with Ma nn-WhitneyU test significant p<0,05. Results : From the observation it can be seen that there are differences of the total amount from the death worms. It shows that tea leaves infusa of each consentration has effect of anthelmintic. The effect of anthelmintic is increase propotionally with the increase of tea leves infusaconcentrations that shows in the total amount of death worm (NaCl 0,9% has 0 death worm, the leaves infusa 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, dan 100 of concentrations each has 4, 10, 12,14, dan 16 death worms, and pyrantel pamoate has 16 death worm). After analyzed With Kruska l-Wa llisand Ma nn-WhitneyU, data shows there are some unsignificant and significant differences among those group (p<0,05 and p>0,05). Conclusions : From the research result, it can be concluded that tea leaves infusa (Ca mellia sinensis, Linn) has effect to increase the death of Ascaris suum, Goeze In vitro although the effectivity as the anthelmintic is a little bit lower than pyrantel pa moateand the increase of tea leaves infusa concentrations is propotionally with the increase of the death worm.
