    Abstract

    The Rational model is one of the simple rainfall-runoff models for predicting flood discharge. This model is suitable for small basins with time of concentration equal or less than duration of rainfall. The model development is predicting the flood discharge of large basin based on the Rational model. The calibrations on several events in Bengawan Solo basin with control points of Jurug, Kajangan, Ketonggo, Bojonegoro, and Babat show that 98.7% of the highest peak floods are in accordance with the established criterions. As for the volume of simulated flood, 86.8% of them fulfill the criterions. But for the time to peak, only 59.5% of them fulfill the criterion.
