    Abstract

    Serengan is small central industry of quill shuttle cock in Surakarta. The maker use simple equipment to process quill clipper to make shuttle cock. The standard dimension of shuttle cock quill clipper with length of quill 6,4 cm- 7,0 cm, with the diagonal of quill shuttle cock in bottom right 45 o – 50 o and diagonal of bottom left 71 o – 75 o . The quill clipper undergo twice clipper process. In increasing production capacity, it is need to design quill shuttle cock clipper in order to cut faster and fulfill the need of production. Quality test uses diagram x and R to know the deviation process, and quality test of ability process to know distribution process toward product specification. The result of value comparison UCL, CL, and LCL early equipment toward standard value has differentiation for the length of quill 0,03, 0,01 and 0,02, right bottom corner namely 2,33, 0,82 and 0,69, left bottom corner namely 2,04, 0,05 and 1,94. Value accounting Cp of quill length, right bottom corner, and left bottom corner of quill shuttle cock has value 0,471 cm, 0,779 o and 0,5 o , shows that quill shuttle cock ability is less good. The result comparison of UCL, CL and LCL equipment design toward standard value has differentiation for length of quill namely 0,17, 0,09 and 0,01, bottom right corner namely 0,58, 0,45 and 1,95, left bottom corner namely 0,38, 0,12 and 0,62. The accounting of Cp account of quill length, bottom right corner and left bottom corner of quill shuttle cock has value 1,5 cm, 1,02 o and 1,16 o , shows the process ability of shuttle cock to specify good standard. Working facility based on antrometry of data measurement, it obtain measurement of table with height 67 cm, wide 63 cm and long 127 cm, measurement of chair with height 45 cm. Efficiency of time changing in cutting process about 40% from the result of left and right hand map. The result of cost design, tool of quill clipper can produce product about 39600 sheet of more, so it is on Break Even Point (BEP) or it has profit. The total cost which is need to make 39.600 sheet Rp. 251.918,-. The result quantity of design tool can increase production about 16%.
