    Abstract

    The objectives of the research were to know: (1) the effect of TGT learning method using ladder games and crossword toword the student’s achievement in biology. (2) the effect of high and low memory toword the student’s achievement in biology. (3) the effect of high and low creativity toword the student’s achievement in biology . (4) interaction between learning method and student memory toword the student’s achievement in biology. (5) interaction between learning method and student’s creativity to the student’s achievement in biology. (6) interaction between student’s memory and creativity ability to the student’s achievement in biology. (7) interaction between learning method, memory, and creativity to the student’s achievement in biology. The research used experimental method. The population was all students in grade IX, SMP Negeri 2 Tambakrejo in the academic year 2010/2011, consisted of 3 classes. Sample was taken by claster random sampling technique, consisted 2 classes. The 1 st experiment class was treated ladder games and the 2 nd one was treated using Crosswords. The data was collected using test for student academic, student’s memory and creativity, and questioner for affective student academic. The hypothesis were tested using ANOVA with 2x2x2 factorial design with unequal cell number, and continued GLM test. Based on the analysis result can be concluded that: (1) there was an effect of TGT learning method using ladder games and crossword toword the cognitive and affective student’s achievement in biology. (2) there was an effect of high and low memory toword the cognitive student’s achievement but there word no effect of high and low memory toword the affective student’s achievement in biology. (3) There was no effect of high and low creativity to the student’s achievement in biology. (4) There was no interaction between learning method and student memory toword the student’s achievement in biology. (5) There was no interaction between learning method and creativity toword the student’s achievement in biology. (6) There was no interaction between creativity and memory to the student’s achievement in biology. (7)There was no interaction between learning method, memory, and creativity to the student’s achievement in biology.
