    Abstract

    Sri Ani Astuti, EXPERIMENTATION OF MATHEMATIC LEARNING WITH COOPERATIF LEARNING METHODTYPEOF JIGSAW ON PARALLELOGRAM, DIAMOND SHAPED, KITE, AND TRAPEZIUM VIEWED FROM STUDENT LEARNING ACTIVITY. Minithesis,Surakarta: Teaching and Education Science Faculty of Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta, 2009. The goal of the research is (1) To know if mathematic learning with method of cooperative type of jigsaw produce learning achievement of mathematic which is better than conventional method on material of parallelogram, diamond shaped, kite, and trapezium. (2) To know if student learning activity which is higher produce learning achievement which is better than activity of learning from student who is lower on material of parallelogram, diamond shaped, kite, and trapezium. (3) To know if every application of learning method produce different learning achievement on each group of student activity and each group of learning activity which produce different learning achievement on different method which is used. This research uses kinds of quasi experimental research. The population of the research is the whole of student class VII of Lower Secondary School 1 Jaten, education year 2008/2009 in amount of 278 students which is divided in 7 classes. Sample which used in this research is 2 classes with the amount of the student of the two classes is 79 students. Sample taking is done with cluster random sampling. Trial test of the instrument is carried out in Lower Secondary School I Jaten. Data collecting technique which is used in this research is documentation method which is a data of mathematic marks on Mid Semester II class of VII in the education year of 2008/2009. Questioner method to get dataof learning activity of the student and test method is used for mathematic learning achievement on matery of parallelogram, diamond shape, kiteand trapezium. Analyze technique which is used in this research is variation analyze of two ways with not same cell. As analysis requires is normal distribution population with using Lilliefors test and the population has same variant (homogeny) with using Bartlett Method. viii viii From this research, it can be concluded that:(1) There is learning achievement of mathematic between students whofollow cooperative type of jigsaw of learning method with students who follow conventional method of learning (Fobs= 11,2069 > 4,00= Ftableon significance level 5%). Learningtrough cooperative type of jigsaw method (marginal average 64. 7250) produce learning achievement of mathematic which is better than conventional method (marginal average 56.7692). (2)There is achievement learning difference between students whose activity of learning is higher and students whode learning activity is lower Fobs = 13.2796 > 3,15=Ftable on significance level of 5%). Student which has higher learning activity has learning achievement better than student whose learning activity is lower . Students whose learning activity is medium has achievement leaning better than students whose learning activity is low. Student whose learning activity is high, has learning achievement which is same with student whose learning activity is medium. (3) Every using of learning method produces different learning achievement on each groups of learning activity of the student. and each groups of learning activity of students produces different learning achievement on every learning method which is used ( Fobs=3,3336 > 3,158= Ftable on significance level of 5 %). On cooperative method type of jigsaw, student whose learning activity is higher has better achievement, if it compared to students whose learning activity is low. On groups of studentswith high activity of learning, the student learning achievementwith cooperative method of jigsaw is higher than student learning achievement with conventional method.
