    Abstract

    Natsir Rosyidi. S850208017. The influence of Quantum Learning by using Software Computer Algebraic System on the Mathematics learning outcome from the learning motivation of Senior High School students in Sragen Regency. Educational Mathematics Study Program, Post Graduate Program of Sebelas Maret University 2009. This research was carried out to discover the answers to the following questions. (1) Was the use of Quantum Learning by using Software Computer Algebraic System better than the use of Structuralistic teaching technique on the students learning outcome? (2) Did the students with high motivation attain better achievement than those with fair or low motivation and did the students with fair motivation attain better achievement than thosewith low motivation?, and (3) In each classification of the students motivation, was the Quantum Learning by using Software Computer Algebraic System better than the Structuralistic teaching technique on the students learning achievement? The Population of the research was all the Grade X students in Sragen Regency. The selection of the samples was 233 students in grade X in the State Senior High School. The methods of data collection used in the research were questionnaire method test method and documentation method. The instrument to gain information on the students achievements in learning in learning was multiple-choice test which assessed only the students cognitive domain. Lilliefors was applied to test the normality. Bartlet was used to test homogeneity. Based on a= 5 %, it was concluded that the samples were from a population with normal distribution. The homogeneity test indicated that the research population had a homogeneous distribution. The data were analyzed by using unbalanced two ways anova. The result of the analysis with the significant level of a= 5 % indicated that (1) The Quantum Learning by using Software Computer Algebraic System (CAS) had a positive effect on trigonometry learning outcome (Fa= 6.73 > 3.84 = F(a, p-N, N-p.qa)= F(0.05;1;227), (2) the students motivation had a positive effect on students trigonometry learning outcome (Fa = 4.28 > 3.00 = F(a, p-N, N-p.qa)= F(0.05;2;227) , and (3) there was no interaction between the teaching technique used and the students motivation in trigonometry learning outcome ((Fa = 0.78 > 3.00 = F( a,(p-1)(q-1),N-p.qa)= F(0.05;2;227) ). The conclusion of this research is : (1) The use of Quantum Learning by using Software Computer Algebraic System was better than the use of Structuralistic teaching technique on the students learning outcome, (2) The students motivation had an effect on their achievement in learning outcome, the students with high motivation attained better achievement than those with fair or low motivation and the students withfair motivation attained better learning outcome than those with low motivation, and (3) in each classification of the students motivation Quantum Learning by using Software Computer Algebraic System was better than the Structuralistic teaching technique on the students learning achievement.
