    Abstract

    Wiratsasongko, Bambang, 2008. The behavior of a ritual tourism on the Mount Kemukus (a description study about the tourist behavior in the mausoleum of Prince Samodro on the Mount Kemukus at Sumber Lawang, District of Sragen, Central Java) This research has done in the mausoleum of Prince Samodro on Mount Kemukus, caused by several interesting phenomenon. Mount Kemukus is very importance for the people who owning the thought to its ancestor soul utilize to get the safety benediction, properties, prosperity, even the problem of couple. The thought has manifested in the form of ritual activity. It is said that the ritual activity besides have pilgrimage also do the coitus. Based on the objectives above, this research has been done to know the characteristics of the tourist behavior and also to know the ritual that conducted by the tourist in the mausoleum of Prince Samodro on the Mount Kemukus. The form of this research is a description and the paradigm that weared on this research are the social definition by using Action Theory from Talcot Parson and Rasionalism from Weber. The informan are the local government deputized on duty by the Tourism and communication staffs, mausoleum door keeper, pheripheral of countryside and the society around Mount Kemukus. Technics of data collecting are interview, observation, and document technicsly is dimensional intake sample of Sampling. The result of this research, indicate that the ritual activities conducted by the tourist in the form of concerning solution behavior of ritual activities in the Mausoleum of Prince Samodro in Mount Kemukus, and the interaction between perpetrator of ritual in Mount Kemukus and also the perception and behavioral of the tourist.
