    Sandhi Prakoso, E0006220. 2011. COMPARISON OF INDONESIAN PRESIDENT POWER AFTER CHANGING OF REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA CONSTITUTION YEAR 1945 WITH THE UNITED STATES PRESIDENT POWER. LAW FACULTY SEBELAS MARET UNIVERSITY The purpose of this study is to investigate deeper powers held by the Indonesian president and United States president, by analyzing the comparative method is by looking at both the state constitution. From the constitutional comparative that will be the basis for the writer to know the power is held and not owned by the Indonesian president and United States president. This research is normative research that is comparative or comparison, study was conducted by analyzing secondary data consisting of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. Primary legal materials in the form of the UUD 1945 and also the United States constitution, secondary legal materials such as books, text, as well as legal journals, while the tertiary legal materials that the writer use the ingredient of the internet media in the form of articles. Data collection technique was done by using secondary data collection is done by collecting material with the documents study or law materials from print or electronic media. From the legal material, then be analyzed and formulated as law material support in this research. Data collection techniques of law material called literary study. Data analyzing that be used are qualitative data analysis, because the data obtained is not a number or not realized in the form of statistics, however are narrative information that is not concerned with the wealth of data but detailed and elaborate data. Based on research results, the outline can be drawn conclusions about the comparative power of the President of Indonesia and president of the United States is a constitutional equality of power held by both the president is both the organizer of government power, power in the field of legislation, in the field of judicial power, power in foreign relations, and military power in the presidency as the highest authority over the armed forces. While the difference, in the United States, the president has no authority stating the country in danger. This is of course different from the power and control the President of Indonesia, stated in Article 12 of UUD 1945 whose contents the President declared a state of danger.
