    Abstract

    Retno Anggraeni, 2010. LEARNING CD APPLICATION OF LETTER AND NUMBER FOR TODDLERS. D3 Computer Science, Faculty Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Sebelas Maret Surakarta. In the educational world, computer can be used as a medium for delivering course material for students in this toddler-age child is learning the system as alternative media or other props. One of the education that should be given to young children is early education such as Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). To facilitate the delivery of material to children under five, then the education given in the form of a multimedia package that is to learn and play. Especially for this learning would very helpful for parents not only on the aspects of listening, reading, perhaps even to aspects of speaking and writing. Application of interactive learning letters and numbers for children aged under five is designed to provide convenience for infants in the study by serving interactive display applications and learn to attract toddlers. Learning materials include learning and playing. Presentation of the application interface using animation, sound and images that attract the attention of toddlers. In making this application better using the designs of learning that is not too complicated so that the content delivered can be well understood by children and as a form of learning to enable children to want to learn at an early stage. Based on the research that has been done, we concluded that the existence of multimedia applications is learning letters and numbers, other than to assist and facilitate the learning process more effective and attractive also can serve as alternative media other than props. This application can also develop the interest, imagination and motivation of young children to learn and recognize letters and numbers. Keywords: Multimedia, learning, letters, numbers, toddlers
