    Abstract

The Contribution of Emotional Quotient In The Social Interaction and Perception About The Headmaster’s Leadership Capability Toward The Teacher’s Working (A Research of The Teachers of The State SMA In Wongiri City). Thesis. Surakarta: The Education Technologi of Post Graduate Program of Sebelas Maret University, April 2006. This study aims are to prove whether there is the significant contribution of Emotional Quotient in the Social Interaction and the Perception about headmaster’s leadership capability toward The State Senior High School the teachers’ performances in Wonogiri City. Based on the aim of the research, the method used in the research is descriptive correlation method. The population is all the teachers of The State Senior High School in Wonogiri City. The Technique in collecting the data uses questionnaire technique to collect the data of the contribution of Emotional quotient in the social interaction and the perception of the headmaster’s leadership capability, while the teacher’s worksheet judgment used to know the teacher’s working in carrying out the studying process. The results of this study show that: 1) There is significant contributon between the emotional quotient in the social interaction towards the teacher’s performances the State Senior High School in Wonogiri ‘city (ro = 0,474 > rt = 0,291) effective contribution 18,30%. 2) There is significant contribution between teachers’ perception of headmaster’s leadership capability towards the teacher’s leadership capability gives positive contribution towards teacher’s performances in carrying out the studying process in the Senior High Schools in Wonogiri City (ro = 0,492 > rt = 0,291) effective contribution 13,72%. 3) There is contribution emotional quotient in the social interaction and the perception of the headmaster’s leadership capability gives significant contribution towards teachers’ performances in carrying out the studying process in the Senior High Schools in Wonogiri City (Fo 13,421 > Ft 3,20), and the value of coefficient correlation R = 0,620 and R2 = 0,384 indicated that the teacher’s performances (Y) explained by the variable emotional quotient in the social interaction (X1) and the perception about the headmaster’s leadership capability; (X2) = 38,43%, while 61,57% can’t be explained yet. The implication of the results of this research shows that there is significant contribution between the emotional quotient in the social interaction and the perception about the headmaster’s leadership capability toward the teachers’ performances in the Senior High School in Wonogiri City, so it can give description to the related sides that they are able and want to pay more attention to both of the factors, and consequently teachers’ performances in carrying out the studying process, especially, increases and become better.
